Andrii Sybiha held phone talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky
10 October 2025 19:54

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "A meaningful conversation with my Czech colleague and friend Jan Lipavsky. I provided him with a detailed update on the consequences of Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. This is yet another clear indication that Russia has no genuine interest in peace talks. On the contrary, it continues to escalate its campaign of terror. We discussed ways to enhance our defence cooperation and strengthen Ukraine’s resilience ahead of winter.  I emphasized the importance to promptly adopt a robust 19th package of EU sanctions that will deliver tangible impact. I also welcomed Czechia’s recent decision to ban the entry through international airports of Russian diplomats and service passport holders who are not accredited in Czechia. This strong move should be multiplied in other EU member states to prevent Russia from expanding its sabotage operations across Europe. Additionally, we synchronized our further efforts to advance Ukraine’s EU accession and to open the first negotiation Cluster together with Moldova."
