Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand to inform about Russia’s escalation of terror against Ukraine and our priority needs. I thanked Canada for its support and leadership in the Group of Seven. We discussed how G7 can respond to Russia’s brutal strikes and refusal of peace efforts. We agreed on the need to increase transatlantic pressure, including lower oil price cap, a full use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s defense and recovery, restrictions against Russian energy, and other sanctions. It is critical to raise the cost of war for the aggressor in order to advance peace. No more time to wait. Putin must sense the direct consequences of his rejection of diplomacy and continued murders."
