Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a meaningful conversation with Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand. 

I conveyed our gratitude to Prime Minister Carney for their successful meeting with President Zelenskyy in Halifax and for organizing the call with EU partners ahead of the talks with the U.S.  

Canada's decision to provide up to CAD 2.5 billion in new assistance is of great importance to support Ukraine’s resistance and recovery.   

I briefed my colleague on the developments in the peace process, the high-level meeting with the U.S. in Florida, and the consequences of Russia’s latest massive attack.  

We focused on future security guarantees for Ukraine and ways to strengthen our cooperation within the peace efforts.  

I expressed my appreciation for keeping Ukraine high on the G7 agenda during Canada’s presidency in 2025.  

I look forward to welcoming my colleague in Ukraine next year."
