Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a substantive call with my Panamanian colleague Javier Martínez-Acha.
I informed him about Russia’s latest large-scale attacks and emphasized the importance of unwavering international solidarity to achieve a just and lasting peace.
I also provided an update on peace efforts and expressed gratitude for Panama’s support during its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council as well as for facilitating Ukraine’s participation in the activities of the Association of Caribbean States during Panama’s chairmanship this year, in particular my participation in the ACS event on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September.
We discussed key issues of our bilateral agenda, cooperation within multilateral platforms, as well as further contacts at various levels.
I also thanked the Panamanian side for its prompt response to our requests to revoke licenses and remove tankers from the Russian "shadow fleet" from the ship registers."
