Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a warm and meaningful conversation with my Polish colleague and friend Radosław Sikorski.
We took stock of our productive cooperation over this year and discussed key priorities for 2026. Our active contacts are an important testament to the reliable strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland.
We particularly noted the results and importance of the recent official visit by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Warsaw.
I informed my colleague about the battlefield situation, consequences of Russia’s massive attacks and recent developments in the peace talks. We value Poland’s contribution and its special role in shaping security guarantees for Ukraine and whole of Europe.
I emphasized that Ukraine considers full-fledged EU membership as an integral element of the security guarantees.
Grateful to Radek for his personal efforts in support of Ukraine and our close dialogue.
I also mentioned the importance of countering cases of inappropriate treatment of Ukrainians in Poland and thanked Radek for reaffirming that they will be addressed properly.
A strong Ukrainian-Polish partnership is one of the key pillars of stability, peace, and security in Europe."
