I appreciate his strong words in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and his clear stance that there must be no reward for the aggressor, as it would set a dangerous precedent for global stability. We both agreed that a ceasefire is the first step towards a real peace process.  I also emphasized the importance to make full use of Russian frozen assets for Ukraine’s benefit and to ensure that Russia pays the price for its war of aggression.
