Head of MFA of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a productive call with Foreign Minister of Petr Macinka. 

I thanked Czechia for its comprehensive support for Ukraine, including its approximately $7 million contribution to the PURL initiative and its steadfast support for Ukraine's EU accession, including the opening of Negotiation Clusters 1 and 6. We highly value Czechia's principled leadership and solidarity. 

I informed my counterpart about Russia’s intensifying ballistic terror against civilians and deliberately destruction of critical civilian infrastructure because it cannot achieve any of its strategic objectives on the battlefield. And we are already working to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience ahead of the next winter season.  

In this context, we discussed further assistance to Ukraine's energy sector and the involvement of Czech businesses in our recovery and reconstruction efforts. 

We also discussed strengthening our mutually beneficial defence partnership. 

We are determined to further deepen the Ukraine–Czech strategic partnership for the benefit of our nations and the security of Europe."
