Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Good phone conversation with my Montenegro colleague, Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic.
I briefed him on Russia’s continued missile and drone terror against Ukraine, including the consequences of last night’s attack targeting our cities and civilian infrastructure.
I thanked Montenegro for its solidarity with the Ukrainian people, its consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for voting in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution “Support for a lasting peace in Ukraine”.
I also expressed gratitude for Montenegro’s participation in the PURL initiative — a meaningful contribution to strengthening the protection and resilience of our cities.
We discussed our bilateral agenda and identified practical steps to further enhance Ukraine–Montenegro cooperation in the political and security spheres.
We coordinated our next steps on the path toward EU integration, including the need for close alignment both bilaterally and multilaterally, in particular within the Ukraine–Southeast Europe format."
