Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a substantive call with EU High Representative Kaja Kallas. 

I briefed Kaja on the consequences of Russia's latest attacks on Ukrainian cities, as well as on civil vessels in the Black Sea. I emphasized that safeguarding freedom of navigation in the Black Sea remains critical for global food security.  

We discussed the activation of the EU Solidarity Lanes and the need for continued support to ensure secure maritime routes and food security despite Russia's ongoing terror. 

We also focused on strengthening Ukraine's air defence and defence capabilities, as well as increasing pressure on Russia. Every additional capability delivered to Ukraine helps protect lives and reinforces Europe's security. 

I informed Kaja about the outcomes of the Ukrainian delegation's recent visit to Washington, including our discussions on strengthening Ukraine's defence, advancing our strategic partnership with the United States, and supporting the peace process. 

We also discussed the results of my recent phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi . I thanked Kaja for her personal contribution to this important diplomatic contact and de-escalation.
