Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "In Prešov, I had a productive meeting with my Slovak colleague Juraj Blanár. 

I informed my colleague about the battlefield situation, Russia’s strikes against our energy system, and most recent developments in peace efforts. 

We noted the active dialogue between President Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Fico, as well as positive outcomes of the recent joint intergovernmental commission. Our relations have a positive dynamic and we are committed to strengthening them in all areas, from joint infrastructure projects to cooperation in the Demining and Shelter Coalitions. 

Grateful for Slovakia’s €500,000 support to our energy sector and the progress on the Bilingual Ukrainian School in Bratislava. 

We appreciate Slovakia’s consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and our path toward EU membership.  We count on Slovakia’s strong voice for a just and lasting peace and for further sanctions against Russia. I also underlined the importance of the decision to enable the full use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine. 

Together, we strengthen both of our nations, regional security, and our European future".
