Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "With Federal Minister Johann Wadephul, we reaffirmed the strength of the Ukrainian-German strategic partnership, which holds fundamental significance for peace and security in Europe.
I thanked Germany for its true leadership in supporting Ukraine, which should motivate others to do more. We discussed how we can scale up our mutually beneficial defense, industrial, and economic cooperation.
Russia’s recent massive attacks on Kyiv once again demonstrate the urgent need to further strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. More antiballistic systems and interceptors are crucial to protect our people and critical infrastructure from Russia’s daily terror.
We spoke about further joint steps on our bilateral and transatlantic agenda, peace efforts, and Ukraine’s EU accession. I am grateful to Germany for supporting the opening of the next negotiation clusters".
