Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Korman, who arrived in Kyiv.

At the beginning of the visit, Andrii Sybiha and Mathias Korman laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine on Mykhailivska Square.

During the talks, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General for his third visit to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale military invasion and for the opening of the OECD Office in Ukraine in 2023. This step demonstrated the Organisation's faith in Ukraine and its prosperous, independent and democratic future.

The Minister briefed Matthias Korman on Ukraine's peace efforts, stressing that security is key to economic development.

The parties discussed further development of the Ukraine-OECD partnership. They paid special attention to the Economic Review of Ukraine and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Review, which the OECD Secretary General came to Ukraine to present.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the OECD Secretary General for his assessment of the efforts of the Ukrainian government in fighting corruption and implementing reforms even in the face of full-scale Russian aggression.

The parties also discussed the progress of the Ukrainian side in implementing the OECD Programme for Ukraine to become a full member of the Organisation. The Minister emphasised that cooperation with the OECD is an important part of Ukraine's strategic course towards successful integration into the European Union.
