Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a good meeting with Mozambique’s Foreign Minister Maria dos Santos Lucas.

We recently opened Ukraine’s embassy in Maputo, demonstrating that we value our relations and wish to expand them.

I value the decision to appoint Mozambique’s ambassador to Germany, instead of its ambassador to Russia, as non-resident ambassador to Ukraine.

We reaffirmed mutual interest in developing beneficial bilateral ties in all spheres of cooperation, with a special focus on agriculture, digitalisation, education, and technology.

I informed my colleague about Ukraine’s steps toward peace and emphasized that Mozambique's support for our peace efforts is important.

I proposed to hold the next round of political consultations soon and also invited my colleague to visit Ukraine at a convenient time."
