Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a meeting for the first time with Botswana’s Minister of International Relations Dr. Phenyo Butale in Antalya.

We discussed strengthening Ukraine–Botswana relations, enhancing coordination in international organizations, and expanding economic cooperation. We agreed that relations between our countries hold significant potential, particularly in agriculture.

I informed my colleague about the scale of Russia’s recruitment of citizens from African countries for its war against Ukraine and stressed the need to prevent further recruitment.

Ukraine remains ready to contribute to strengthening our bilateral ties and to advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest".
