On 19 June, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Ambassador of Romania in Ukraine Alexandru Victor Micula.
Andrii Sybiha expressed gratitude for Romanian support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, comprehensive assistance in counteracting Russian aggression, active participation in realization of Ukrainian Peace Formula and in the inaugural Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues of early joining of Ukraine to EU and gaining membership in NATO. They noted, that it will facilitate the maintenance of stable peace on the European continent.
The parties emphasized the importance of signing of bilateral Ukrainian-Romanian security agreement as soon as possible and discussed concrete steps toward establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries.
Separately, Andrii Sybiha thanked to Romania for ensuring unimpeded export of Ukrainian goods to other EU members and other countries.
