Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Glad to meet with Stortinget Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense in a new convocation following the recent parliamentary elections. I thanked Stortinget for its previous important decisions to allocate powerful aid to Ukraine. We count for the continuation of this vital support at the level of $8,5 billion in military-technical and civilian aid in 2026. We focused on global diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace, accountability for Russia’s crimes, security guarantees, bringing back Ukrainian children, and increasing transatlantic pressure on Russia. We also discussed steps to bolster Ukraine’s resilience, particularly in the energy sector ahead of the winter season. Grateful for the assurance of the further rock-solid unity and solidarity in support of Ukraine. I also had the special honor of presenting to the Chair of the Committee, Ine Eriksen Søreide, the Certificate of Honour from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk in recognition of her outstanding efforts in supporting the people of Ukraine".
