Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "In Warsaw, I met with my Norwegian counterpart, Espen Barth Eide.
I thanked Norway for the new announcement of $53 million contribution in budget support for Ukraine, essential public services and payments.
I briefed Espen on the battlefield situation, preparations for the Abu-Dhabi meeting, and the successful completion of the humanitarian mission in Oleshky. This case demonstrates that a ceasefire is possible when Russia stops shooting. We must build on this principle and scale it up.
We also discussed the security situation in the Black Sea and ceasefire proposals. Restoring freedom of navigation remains central to our efforts.
I thanked for Norway’s long-term commitment through the Nansen Support Programme. It is vital to Ukraine’s defense, resilience, and recovery, especially amid Russian escalating attacks on civilian infrastructure.
We are grateful for Norway’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and our shared efforts to achieve a lasting peace".
