Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha hosted the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative to Ukraine, Munir Mammadzade, at the MFA on the occasion of the completion of his term of duties.

“Since February 2022, UNICEF has mobilized nearly USD 2 billion to support Ukrainians. Behind these figures are the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children - their opportunity to learn and develop, to remain with their families in warm homes, and to preserve their childhood despite the horrors of war. I sincerely thank you for your personal commitment, humanity, and deep concern for the fate of Ukrainian children,” - the Minister noted.

During the meeting, Minister Andrii Sybiha presented Munir Mammadzade with the State Order of Merit, Third Class, as a mark of profound gratitude for his efforts and assistance during one of the most challenging periods for our country. The UNICEF Representative to Ukraine received this distinction in accordance with Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 617/2025 of 23 August 2025.
