Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "In Rome I had a meeting with Grand Chancellor Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo.
I expressed gratitude for the Order’s humanitarian support to Ukraine, including energy assistance under the “Warmth for Ukraine” initiative, as well as for helping Ukrainians who were forced to flee their homes and found support in countries neighboring Ukraine.
We are aware of the Order’s principled neutrality but your assistance and support shows that you are not indifferent in humanitarian issues. We highly appreciate it.
I informed Grand Chancellor about the situation on the battlefield. Ukraine continues to hold the line, with the strategic goal of bringing this war, which is on our territory, to an end. As Russia continues its aggression and launches daily drone and missile attacks, it is essential for us to further strengthen our positions.
We agreed on practical steps for further cooperation, including efforts aimed at the return of Ukrainian children, exchange of prisoners of war and rehabilitation of Ukrainian kids, affected by war."
