Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "We had a good conversation with Honduran Foreign Minister Mireya Agüero de Corrales following her visit to Kyiv as part of the delegation of the President of Honduras. 

As an important step in strengthening our relationship, we signed a roadmap for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Honduras for 2026-2029. We agreed on the importance of expanding economic and business ties. 

I thanked the Minister for her close attention to Ukraine and heartfelt words about the Ukrainian people. Her visit to Kyiv provided an important opportunity to see firsthand the consequences of Russia’s war and to strengthen mutual understanding between our countries. 

We highly value Honduras’s principled stance regarding illegal shadow fleet operations, including putting an end to the practice of vessel registration under the Honduran flag.  

We discussed the urgent need to restore freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, which is essential not only for the security of the region but also for global food security and the uninterrupted export of Ukrainian agricultural products. 

I informed my colleague about our work to launch the International Claims Commission and other international initiatives aimed at ensuring accountability and justice.  

We also discussed our cooperation in bringing Ukrainian children stolen and deported by Russia back home, as well as practical steps to advance these efforts.
