On March 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha visited the National Assembly of Panama on the occasion of the establishment of the Panama–Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group. 

Friendship between parliaments is not only diplomacy. It is trust between people, nations, and generations. The Panama Canal connected oceans. The Panama–Ukraine Friendship Group will connect our peoples. The front line in Ukraine is also the front line of freedom and international law. That is why supporting Ukraine is not a matter of geography — it is a matter of principle", stated the head of the Foreign Ministry.

Minister emphasised strong potential to expand cooperation with Panama across many areas — from agriculture and food security to digital and drone technologies. 

He expressed sincere gratitude to the members of the National Assembly for their solidarity with Ukraine and stressed that Panama’s voice — and the voice of its parliament — matters greatly to Ukrainian people.

Andrii Sybiha also invited the Chair and members of the Friendship Group to visit Ukraine and see firsthand the courage of our people and our unwavering commitment to freedom.
