Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "More than 90% of Finns consider humanitarian aid for Ukraine important, according to Finnish Foreign Ministry’s polls. And we are fortunate to have such a strong support.
During my visit to a logistics center run by the Association of Ukrainians in Finland, I thanked all Finnish volunteers who continue supporting Ukraine.
The center’s team has already delivered more than 1,600 tonnes of humanitarian cargo, nearly 100 trucks, 150 vehicles for medical evacuation, and generators with a combined capacity of 2000 KW.
As we prepare for another difficult wartime winter and intensifying Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure, I called on our Finnish friends and Ukrainians in Finland to join the «Warmth for Ukraine» initiative. Last winter, this wave of solidarity brought much-needed support to our communities. This year, we need support with particular attention to frontline regions, where the need is greatest.
I presented the Golden Heart award from the President of Ukraine to the head of the association, Vasyl Hutsul, and awarded the volunteer center’s coordinator Serhiy Shevchenko the Amber Heart, a special distinction of.
My heartfelt thanks to every Finn who stands with Ukraine and turns compassion into action — donating, delivering humanitarian aid and vehicles directly to Ukraine, and even travelling to the frontline to support our soldiers.
Your solidarity helps Ukraine defend its freedom and our people endure this brutal war. You bring us hope and remind us that Ukraine is not alone".
