The parties expressed satisfaction with the state of bilateral relations and reaffirmed the dedication of the two states to develop mutually beneficial cooperation. Significant potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation, that has been showing an upward trend recently, was noted. In this context, the forthcoming events within the framework of the Ukrainian-French political dialogue and economic interaction, first of all preparation of the official visit of  President of France Emmanuel Macron to Ukraine, were discussed.

Etienne de Poncins stressed the importance of implementing the agreements reached in Paris during the meeting in the Normandy format. Vasyl Bodnar, in his turn, emphasized an important contribution of the French side to the revitalization of the Normandy format.

The Deputy Minister also thanked the French Ambassador for solidarity with regard to the tragedy of the Ukrainian plane in Iran as well as for the French side's willingness to facilitate the investigation.
