The meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani, who visited Ukraine for the first time in the history of bilateral relations, took place in Kyiv.
The interlocutors discussed the issue of food security and Bahrain's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will become the largest project since the World War II and a driver of growth not only for Ukraine but also for the economies of the partner states.
The Head of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry invited Bahrain to take part in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in London in June this year.
“We had a very deep, thorough and frank conversation, for the first time in the history of our relations. We agreed to intensify not only bilateral relations, but also relations between Ukraine and the Gulf countries, in particular in the format of the Gulf Cooperation Council,” said Dmytro Kuleba.
He noted that Ukraine and Bahrain were working to intensify business contacts.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister informed his counterpart about the situation on the frontline and gave a detailed introduction to President Zelenskyy’s Peace formula. The Minister invited the Bahraini side to actively participate in its implementation.
