On April 18, during his visit to Kuwait, Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, met with Waleed Al-Bahar, the Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. 

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development is a public financial institution that participated in development projects in 105 countries around the globe, with a total amount of 21.8 billion US dollars. 

During the meeting, the Minister discussed the efforts of the Ukrainian government and international partners to restore the country's infrastructure damaged by Russia’s attacks. 

"Russian aggression caused significant destruction, but as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes, we will definitely restore everything. Some projects can be financed immediately. In the general perspective of post-war reconstruction, Ukraine will likely become the largest construction site in the world," Dmytro Kuleba emphasized. 

The Minister invited the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to participate in the restoration of Ukrainian infrastructure. 

In this context, Waleed Al-Bahar assured of the Fund’s readiness to participate in the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held in London at the end of June. He also emphasized that cooperation with Ukraine will be one of the priorities of the Kuwait Fund's activities. 

The parties paid particular attention to social projects, such as the construction of new hospitals, schools and kindergartens in Ukraine, as well as the implementation of psychological support and rehabilitation programs for Ukrainians injured during the war. 

The Minister and the Acting Director General agreed to organize a meeting of experts from Ukraine and Kuwait in the near future to discuss cooperation prospects in detail.
