On August 9 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky.

The parties praised high level of cooperation between Ukraine and Israeland discussed prospects for intensifying Ukrainian-Israeli political dialogue, exchange of high and highest level visits, as well as preparation for and holding of regular meetings of bilateral bodies, including the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the issue of counteracting the COVID-19 pandemic, Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation in this area, in particular the issue of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates. "Reaching an agreement between Ukraine and Israel on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates will stimulate tourist contacts between our countries," Dmytro Senik noted. 

• - According to the results of 2020, the total volume of bilateral trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Israel amounted to 907.3 million USD. The positive balance of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods and services with Israel in 2020 amounted to 513.1 million USD.
• - The pervious 11th meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place on June 19, 2018 in Jerusalem.
• - In January 2019, Ukraine and Israel signed the Free Trade Agreement (in goods), which entered into force on January 1, 2021.
