Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Roi Rosenblit.
Oleksandr Mishchenko congratulated the Ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine and expressed hope for the further development of active bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.
The Ukrainian diplomat expressed gratitude to the Israeli side for its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine in 2026, in particular in the energy sector.
The Ambassador of Israel expressed condolences on behalf of the Government of the State of Israel in connection with the deaths and injuries of civilians as a result of Russian missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine, in particular Kyiv, on 20 August.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Israeli relations amid the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the conduct of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the participation of representatives of the State of Israel in memorial events in Kyiv marking the 85th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy in September–October this year, as well as preparations for the parliamentary elections in Israel on 27 October 2026.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the Head of the Israeli diplomatic mission with detailed information on the actions of the Russian Federation aimed at the illegal sale abroad of Ukrainian grain stolen in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In this context, the sides agreed on an algorithm for further cooperation.
