Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: " I had a substantive call with EU High Representative Kaja Kallas.
I briefed Kaja on the consequences of Russia’s massive missile and drone attack last night and the current battlefield situation.
We focused on concrete steps to strengthen Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia: additional air defence capabilities, including anti-ballistic projection, stronger sanctions targeting Russia’s ballistic missile production and supply chains, and further work on the full use of frozen Russian assets.
We also discussed security in the Black Sea and the importance of securing Ukraine’s maritime grain corridor. Russia’s attacks on ports and civilian vessels threaten our economy, freedom of navigation, and global food security.
We paid particular attention to Ukraine’s progress toward EU membership and the next steps on this path, as well as current developments in Ukraine and in the rest of Europe.
We have a clear understanding of the priorities ahead and the decisions needed to move forward. Grateful to Kaja for the close coordination and her continued personal engagement."
