08 November 2023 13:00

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba gave a speech as honorable guest at the conference of Belgian ambassadors.

"The Ukrainian Peace formula - is a big story, which is aimed at discussing the vision of a peaceful settlement proposed not by a third party or aggressor, but by the country that suffered from aggression", the Minister emphasized during his speech.

He pointed out that the territorial integrity of Ukraine is one of the fundamental undisputable principles of the Peace formula.

During his speech the Minister also stressed that the only way to strengthen strategic security in Europe is the creation of a collective policy on the joint production of weapons.

Dmytro Kuleba mentioned that the quantity of states supporting the Peace formula are constantly growing. He called on other countries, particularly in Africa, Asia and South Asia, to join its realisation.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy expressed gratitude to Belgium for the unprecedented support of Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale Russian aggression.

"Belgium has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, providing military, humanitarian, financial and diplomatic support. The recent visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Belgium proved once again that Belgium is our true friend and partner, who we value very much," he emphasized.

Dmytro Kuleba said that a century ago, Belgian investments and sights of Belgian culture were present in the east of Ukraine, but the Russian army destroyed these beautiful examples of Belgian architecture in the Donetsk region. He expressed confidence that new samples of Belgian architecture will emerge in Ukraine as part of the post-war reconstruction process.

The Minister also thanked Belgium for supporting the "Grain from Ukraine" humanitarian initiative founded by the President of Ukraine.

"Belgium was the first country supported this initiative, donating ten million euros to help us send large batches of Ukrainian grain to a number of African countries suffering from hunger," has emphasized the minister.

He invited all countries seeking to support global food security to participate in the second international summit "Grain from Ukraine", which will be held in Kyiv in November this year.
