On June 7, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova held a telephone conversation with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.
The First Deputy Minister informed her Qatari colleague in detail of the preparation for the inaugural Summit of the Crimea Platform, outlined its main goals and tasks.
"This initiative is an instrument that will allow Ukraine to return the topic of Russia’s temporary occupation of Crimea to the international agenda and restore the territorial integrity of our state," Emine Dzhaparova stated.
The partners exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda, in particular on the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the militarization of the occupied Crimea by the Russian Federation and the violations of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people on the Crimean peninsula, the implementation status of the Al Ula Declaration, the intermediary role of the State of Qatar in the settlement of regional conflicts.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi emphasized his state’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
