Yehor Bozhok raised these and other issues during a telephone conversation with the State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Miguel Berger on June 18, this year.
Yehor Bozhok congratulated his German counterpart on his appointment as State Secretary. The sides expressed interest in the comprehensive deepening of bilateral cooperation not only at the level of ministries, but also in the whole spectrum of bilateral relations.
Yehor Bozhok invited Miguel Berger to visit Ukraine as soon as the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic allows. The interlocutors also discussed the visit of German Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas to Ukraine at the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, including their joint trip to Donbas to observe the security, humanitarian and socio-economic situation caused by the Russian aggression.
Yehor Bozhok thanked the German side for financial and technical assistance to Ukraine, and expressed hope that the parties would agree on all technical issues as soon as possible in order for Ukraine to receive EUR 150 million assistance from Germany to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.
