On September 2, Deputy Foreign Minister Iryna Borovets had a telephone conversation with Panama's Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Ruiz-Hernandez.
The parties discussed the agenda of bilateral relations and joint measures for the near future. Separately, they focused on strengthening cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular during Panama's presidency in the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member in 2025-2026.
Iryna Borovets emphasized the role of Panama, which it can play in the context of restoring peace in Ukraine. At the same time, the deputy minister noted the importance of Panama's support for the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and informed her counterpart about the Second Global Peace Summit to be held by the end of the year.
