On 3 September, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis, received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Ukraine Tarja Fernandes.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the beginning of her diplomatic mission in Ukraine and conveyed gratitude to Finland for its comprehensive support in assisting Ukraine in the face of russia's full-scale aggression against our country.

The two parties discussed potential steps for strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities and cooperation in the sanctions area, particularly by preventing circumvention of sanctions. Also it was discussed the possibilities of wider involvement of Finland to projects on the rebuilding of Ukraine as well as the European and Euro-Atlantic future of our country.

For her part, Tarja Fernandez reaffirmed Finland's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against russian aggression until complete Ukraine’s victory.
