On February 15, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Iryna Borovets held a meeting with the Special representative of the OSCE Chairmanship - the Coordinator of OSCE projects in Ukraine, Ambassador Marcel Peško.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of engaging the OSCE in order to ensure the priority needs of the Government of Ukraine, which arose as a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
Iryna Borovets emphasized the importance of involving the OSCE in the implementation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy`s Peace Formula.
"Ecological and economic projects, as well as expert assistance in the dimension of European integration of Ukraine, can be no less important from the point of view of the involvement of the OSCE," the Deputy Minister noted.
In addition, according to her, projects in the field of humanitarian demining, as well as projects for the rehabilitation of the affected civilian population, including children, are key for Ukraine. Ukraine appreciates the efforts of the OSCE Participating states that finance such projects, as well as the corresponding assistance of the OSCE Secretariat.
For his part, Marcel Peško positively noted the continuation of OSCE project activities in Ukraine and expressed hope that the expertise of the Organization will become valuable for Ukraine and will allow to receive multidisciplinary assistance with the facilitation of OSCE Participating States, which will act as donors of extra-budgetary projects in our country. The Special representative assured that the OSCE is studying the possibilities of involving its tools in assisting the implementation of certain points of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy`s Peace Formula.
