The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) continue their joint efforts to create new opportunities for domestic producers in international trade. As a result of this collaboration, Canada has opened a new export market for Ukrainian-made products — specifically, table eggs.
“To date, over 350 markets have been opened for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products. This year, we have added the export of table eggs to Canada to that list. By the end of 2025, the SSUFSCP, together with the MFA team, plans to open at least 15 new markets for Ukrainian agri-food products. We are continuing our work,” emphasised Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the SSUFSCP.
The agreed form of the veterinary certificate for this category of products has been published on the official SSUFSCP web portal under the section International Cooperation → Veterinary and Safety → Export Certificates from Ukraine.
Requirements for the import of table eggs into Canada can also be found on the SSUFSCP web portal. These include storage and transportation standards, labelling and grading regulations, the Salmonella Control Program, and identification standards.
