On June 10, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine between Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communications Viktoriia Lialina-Boiko and representatives of the Public Council under the MFA of Ukraine. The event was also attended by a representative of the Ministry’s partners, Head of the Center for Strategic Communications-Spravdi Ihor Solovei.

The participants discussed current challenges in the field of strategic communications, presented their own developments, and outlined possible directions for further cooperation. Particular attention was paid to engaging the expert community in supporting the efforts of state institutions in countering foreign information manipulation and interference.

The sides stressed the importance of coordination and synchronization of efforts to develop common approaches to strengthening the state’s information resilience. In this context, they agreed to continue active engagement, in particular through round tables, expert discussions, and other communication platforms.

Special attention was given to the preparation of updated editions of the Public Diplomacy Strategy and the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for 2026–2030. Representatives of the Public Council expressed readiness to take part in expert discussions of the strategic documents and to provide relevant proposals.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged information on the implementation of initiatives discussed at the previous meeting in April. In particular, they discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine’s international agency and to counter russian presence in the international humanitarian, cultural, and sports space.

The meeting confirmed the shared commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the expert community, and civil society to developing constructive dialogue and deepening cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience to modern information challenges.
