On August 20, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh had a phone call with Omani Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Khalifa bin Ali Alharthy.

The sides discussed the current state of development of bilateral relations and considered potential opportunities for expanding specific spheres of Ukrainian-Omani cooperation. Maksym Subkh highly praised the dynamics of political contacts between the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Oman.

The Special Representative of Ukraine emphasized that "Ukraine is grateful to Oman for supporting its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and also hopes for official Muscat to join collective actions aimed at implementing the Peace Formula proposed by the President of Ukraine".

Maksym Subkh invited the Sultanate of Oman to join the implementation of the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as to participate in the International Crimean Platform.

Khalifa bin Ali Alharthy expressed condolences regarding the death and injury of many people in Chernihiv caused by the Russian missile attack on the city center on August 19.
