On February 4, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh held a meeting with Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ukraine Hadi Nasser Mansour Al-Hajri.

The Ukrainian diplomat thanked the Qatari side for its consistent support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while also commending Qatar’s important role as an intermediary in the return of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian Federation.

Maksym Subkh highly praised the dynamics of contacts at both the highest and high-levels at the current stage of Ukrainian-Qatari relations. In addition, the Ukrainian diplomat expressed his gratitude to the Qatari side for the humanitarian support provided by the government of the State of Qatar to Ukrainians affected by Russia's ongoing armed aggression.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to further coordinate efforts within the framework of the Ukrainian humanitarian initiative “Food from Ukraine” to help Syria.

Maksym Subkh also expressed his gratitude to the Qatari side for supporting the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative aimed at ensuring food security in the countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
