On February 6, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Ukraine, Neil Crompton.
During the meeting, Mariana Betsa expressed her gratitude to the British side for its consistent support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
The Deputy Minister congratulated Great Britain on the commencement of its Presidency of the UN Security Council and expressed appreciation for designating support for Ukraine as one of the priorities of the British Presidency.
The parties discussed the coordination of actions between Ukraine and Great Britain aimed at countering Russian aggression within the framework of the UN and other international organizations, particularly in the context of the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to the issue of consolidating joint efforts regarding the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by the Russian Federation.
Mariana Betsa and Neil Crompton reaffirmed their readiness to continue an active bilateral political dialogue and to strengthen coordination within international organizations.
