Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with the WHO Representative in Ukraine Jarno Habicht on the occasion of the completion of his mission in Ukraine. 

"The nearly eight years of your work in Ukraine have been marked by unprecedented challenges. During the COVID-19 pandemic and throughout Russia's full-scale armed aggression, the WHO, under your leadership, remained a reliable partner of our country. We are sincerely grateful for your professionalism, personal dedication, and significant contribution to supporting the Ukrainian people during the most difficult times." 

During the meeting, the parties highlighted the high level of cooperation between Ukraine and the WHO, which significantly expanded the scope of its activities and support for Ukraine during Jarno Habicht's tenure. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Organization has become one of Ukraine's key partners in strengthening the resilience of the healthcare system, providing healthcare facilities with essential supplies, supporting healthcare professionals, and delivering assistance to the population, particularly in the regions most affected by the war. 

Mariana Betsa wished Jarno Habicht further professional success and expressed confidence that the partnership between Ukraine and the WHO, strengthened during his tenure, will continue to develop successfully.
