On 10 November, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with the President of Iceland Halla Tómasdóttir during her visit to Iceland to take part in the Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders.
Deputy Minister Betsa expressed her gratitude to Iceland for its continued assistance to Ukraine.
The parties discussed further political, security, and humanitarian support for Ukraine, the initiatives of the First Lady of Ukraine aimed at assisting children, as well as efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience.
Special attention was paid to the issue of returning illegally deported Ukrainian children, including within the framework of the International Coalition for their Return, enhancing sanctions pressure on Russia, and bringing the aggressor state to justice for its crimes.
