On June 11, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with the Special Representative of the Chairpersonship-in-Office - OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, Ambassador Peter Mareš.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of engaging the OSCE to meet Ukraine's priority needs caused by the ongoing full-scale aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
“Ukraine appreciates the practical assistance that the OSCE and its participating States provide to our country in implementing projects aimed at overcoming the consequences of Russian aggression” - Mariana Betsa stated.
Mariana Betsa expressed support for the Finnish OSCE Chairpersonship-in-Office in 2025.
The Deputy Minister also raised the issue of implementing OSCE’s projects to provide assistance to the Ukrainian children who continue to suffer from the Russian war of aggression.
For his part, Ambassador Peter Mareš reported on the leading efforts being made to intensify the OSCE's project activity in Ukraine in order to overcome the consequences of the war against Ukraine and to implement new initiatives.
