Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with a delegation from the American Foreign Policy Council, led by its founding President Herman Pirchner, Jr. The group also included senior advisors to U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee members and prominent academic experts from the Council.
During the discussion of key areas of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, the parties focused on President Trump’s Administration’s efforts to end Russia’s war of aggression and establish a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine. Particular attention was given to the importance of U.S. defense support for Ukraine, especially strengthening air defense capabilities and implementing additional sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Mariana Betsa underscored the significance of sustaining steadfast bipartisan and bicameral backing for Ukraine within the U.S. Congress. In this regard, the diplomat highlighted several critical legislative proposals introduced to both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
