On April 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a working meeting with Elena Leticia Teresa Mikusinski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine.
The parties focused primarily on strengthening cooperation within international organizations, as well as on deepening bilateral Ukrainian-Argentine cooperation across various sectors.
Mariana Betsa placed special emphasis on the devastating consequences of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine for both regional and global security. She underscored the critical importance of continued international support for Ukraine, increasing sanctions pressure on the aggressor, and consolidating the efforts of the international community to restore a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. She also called on the Argentine side to support the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children unlawfully deported by Russia.
In the context of countering Russian disinformation in the Latin American region, where the Russian Federation uses propaganda as a tool to justify its war of aggression against Ukraine, the Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of joining efforts to effectively counter such information manipulation, protect democratic institutions, and strengthen societal resilience to Russia’s hybrid threats.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation in priority areas of bilateral engagement and within international organisations.
