On April 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with the Ambassador of Mexico to Ukraine, Audencio Contreras.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in deepening the Ukrainian-Mexican partnership and intensifying political dialogue.
The interlocutors discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, paying special attention to increasing contacts at high and the highest levels, as well as coordinating positions within international organizations.
Particular attention was given to the humanitarian challenges caused by the ongoing Russian aggression. In this context, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine emphasized the need to consolidate the efforts of the international community to ensure the return home of Ukrainian children who have been illegally deported and forcibly transferred by the Russian Federation, as well as their further rehabilitation and reintegration.
Mariana Betsa invited Mexican partners to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
The parties also exchanged views on international efforts aimed at Ukraine’s recovery and attracting foreign investment. In this regard, Mariana Betsa expressed interest in engaging Mexican business circles in participating in the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026).
