On July 5, 2024 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba paid a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.
During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held trilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Mihai Popșoi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminița Odobescu.
The talks took place as a follow-up to the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania on September 15, 2022 in Odesa, at which such a trilateral format of cooperation was launched.
The plenary session of the talks was also attended by representatives of the ministries of energy and infrastructure of the three countries, as well as the leadership of the centers for countering disinformation.
The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania format, in particular on the way to Ukraine's and Moldova's accession to the EU, the development of cooperation between the countries in the fields of energy, infrastructure and transport, the reconstruction of Ukraine, the development of border infrastructure and the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Following the talks, the parties signed a joint statement and a memorandum of understanding between the foreign ministries of the three countries on countering disinformation.
