The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) continue to cooperate fruitfully to support Ukrainian companies and facilitate international trade in domestic animal products. In October, an agreement was reached to export new types of Ukrainian products to the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of North Macedonia.
The form of a veterinary certificate for composite products containing poultry and dairy products, brought to culinary readiness and intended for human consumption, exported to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was agreed with the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The requirements of the competent authority of Azerbaijan to food products are published on the web site of the SSUFSCP.
The form of the health certificate for processed pet food, except for canned pet food, intended for shipment to or transit through the Republic of North Macedonia, has been agreed with the Agency for Food and Veterinary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of North Macedonia. At the same time, the requirements of the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 2011/142 must be observed when clearing these goods in transit through the EU.
The issuance of a health certificate for processed pet food, other than canned pet food, intended for shipment to or transit through the Republic of North Macedonia can only be carried out if the manufacturer is included in the list of facilities accredited for the export of semi-finished meat products to the EU, which is available here.
For reference: The first step for exporting food products is a request from the market operator to the territorial authority of the SSUFSCP at the place of location.
The forms of health certificates are published on the official web site of the SSUFSCP.
