18 November 2025 19:57

On 18 November, during his working visit to the Republic of Moldova to participate in the Moldova Security Forum, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleхandr Mischenko held three key meetings: talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihail Popșoi; bilateral political consultations with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Ana Țincă; and participation in the inaugural meeting of the National Coordinators of the “Odesa Triangle.”

All meetings focused on regional security in the context of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and the hybrid pressure exerted by the Russian Federation on countries of the region. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the security sphere, aligning positions in multilateral formats, and countering disinformation.

Particular attention was paid to enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure, expanding expert-level information exchange, and reinforcing border security. The Ukrainian side underscored the importance of continued international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing aggression, including coordinated partner efforts aimed at Ukraine’s recovery and the achievement of a just and sustainable peace.

The participants also addressed issues of energy security and the development of joint energy and transport-logistics projects designed to increase the resilience and efficiency of regional connectivity.

During the meeting of the National Coordinators of the “Odesa Triangle,” Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleхandr Mischenko, State Secretary of the MFA of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Mihov, and State Secretary of the MFA of Romania Ana Țincă identified the priorities for further trilateral cooperation — countering hybrid threats from the Russian Federation, developing transport and logistics infrastructure, and strengthening stability and security in the Black Sea region.
