On October 14, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Anne-Marie Descôtes, Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.

Oleksandr Mishchenko expressed gratitude to France for its consistent and unwavering support of Ukraine amid Russian aggression, as well as for its significant contribution to humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of affected regions.

The parties discussed priority areas of Ukrainian-French cooperation, including the continuation of military support to Ukraine, the issue of strengthening sanctions against the aggressor state, support for Ukraine’s European integration efforts, provision of humanitarian aid, and the rebuilding of Ukrainian cities.

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the work of the French Crisis Center at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in providing prompt assistance and emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience ahead of the winter period.

In turn, Anne-Marie Descôtes assured of France’s unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine, expressed admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian people, and highlighted the importance of promoting Ukrainian culture among the French public.

In the field of cultural diplomacy, the parties discussed the preparation for the Ukrainian Art Seasons «Voyage en Ukraine» in France (December 2025 – March 2026). This large-scale project will become a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian culture and will contribute to deepening humanitarian partnership between Ukraine and France.
