On 15 October, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Victor Micula.
Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to the Romanian side for the comprehensive assistance provided to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He emphasized the need to strengthen international pressure on Russia and to build up Ukraine’s military potential amid daily missile and drone attacks on the country’s energy and social infrastructure.
The diplomats discussed pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, including elevating relations between Ukraine and Romania to the level of strategic partnership and the schedule of high-level political contacts for the near future.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the results of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova and on the further development of regional economic and security cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Odesa Triangle (Ukraine – Republic of Moldova - Romania).
